Nixon earned a degree in Bachelors of fine art from Brooklyn College and also studied acting in Theater and Film at the Lee Strassberg Theater and Film Institute.  His Off-Broadway debut in the romantic comedy Love and Marriage and New York City was written by David Heron and directed by Woodie King Jr. at the Billie Holiday Theater, earned an Audelco Award nomination for his performance as well as fellow actors.  A proud member of SAG-AFTRA and ACTORS EQUITY Unions, he has been seen in the feature film Brooklyn Gangsters directed by Kenya Cagel and Lynn Nottage's Fabulations at the Lyceum Theater and in association with Brave New World Theater Company. HExTC credits include: Mo(u)rning and the starring role in the film short Reigniting Hope where he played Barack Obama.  His last stage appearance was in writer- director Paul Calderon's Master of The Crossroads at The Bridge Theater.


In recent years he has worked mostly in film and television, appearing in films such as Ramsey, which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime, Google Play, tubi.com, and other platforms as well as Grown, written and directed by New Amsterdam actor Jocko Sims, and which will premiere later this year at the South by Southwest Film Festival.
